na tvāṃ krodhayituṃ śakto na kruddhāṃ pratyudīkṣitum
tava priyārthaṃ rājā hi prāṇān api parityajet
He cannot bear to anger you, nor to meet your gaze when you are angry; for your pleasure the king would even lay down his life.
Words: na tvāṃ — not you; krodhayituṃ — to anger; śakto — able; na kruddhāṃ — nor when (you are) angry; pratyudīkṣitum — to look in the face; tava priyārthaṃ — for your pleasure; rājā hi — for the king; prāṇān api — even his life-breaths; parityajet — would give up
