kāraṇair bahubhis tathyair vāryamāṇau na cecchataḥ

And give leave to Lakṣmaṇa; and Sītā too follows me to the forest. Though dissuaded by many true reasons, the two will not consent (to stay).

Words: lakṣmaṇaṃ — Lakṣmaṇa; cānujānīhi — and grant leave; sītā — Sītā; cānveti — and follows; māṃ vanam — me to the forest; kāraṇair bahubhis — by many reasons; tathyair — true; vāryamāṇau — the two, being dissuaded; na cecchataḥ — and do not consent
